PTA: We had a wonderful turnout for our second PTA Formation Meeting. 107 people joined PTA, we voted on our bylaws, and we elected the following officers:
President: Kim Hodges
Vice-president, Membership: Michelle Carson
Vice-president, Fundraising: Julie Oleson
Vice-president, Programs: Serenity Kelton
Secretary: Marissa Hall
Treasurer: Denise Schwartz
Ms. Hodges appointed Jennifer Soria as parliamentarian.
Congratulations and a big thank you go out to these brave and dedicated people who have stepped up to the huge job of starting a brand new PTA at a brand new school! Special thanks to Pam Hess who provided all that food for the meeting and to the Round Rock Council of PTA's for all their hard work in making this happen.
MASCOT/COLORS: Today is the last day to submit ballot suggestions. If you did not get your suggestion into one of the boxes today, you can email Ms. Lavender anytime before Monday and still get your suggestion considered: rebecca_lavender@roundrockisd.org.
Voting will open April 21st and run through April 27. You can vote on-line at http://schools.roundrockisd.org/chandleroaks/vote.asp (but NOT before the 21st!)
After voting closes, our new PTA president and our principal will tally the votes. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winning mascot/colors at a PTA meeting
